Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Donate your race medal and light up their hearts.
Help us collect 2,012 medals between now and the 2012 Olympic Games!
and follow the progress of Medals of Courage
Medals of Courage was founded in November 2011 by Candace Ransom in honor of her son Lucas. About the medals she says, “My son inspired me to collect the medal you hold in your hand. It was meant for you. We call it a Medal of Courage. It represents the test an athlete experienced, facing an extreme challenge of endurance. It was a test of their strength and courage to see it through to the end. When they donate their medal, hundreds of runners share their strength, hope and courage with you. May it help you when you face your most challenging moments. Know in your heart that hundreds of athletes are cheering you on, giving you their support. May it light up your heart and put a smile on your face, knowing that we are all pulling for you.”
