Loma Linda University Children's Hospital - Pediatric Wholistic Medicine Clinic - Philosophy and Goals

Our Philosophy and Goals

The Pediatric “Wholistic” Medicine Clinic was created to help expand the complementary and holistic medical services offered in the Riverside, San Bernardino, and surrounding counties.  We aim to offer affordable holistic healthcare that is easily accessible for all individuals.  We participate in outreach and education programs to help spread information about holistic medicine to our community and conduct research to help us understand how holistic models can best serve you and your family.

The philosophy behind our treatments is very simple.  We help our clients take away the things that are making them sick, and help their bodies get the things they need to heal.  We use the most up-to-date information available to help us determine what holistic treatments are best for each patient.

We believe that each and every treatment must start with a great diet.  Food should be our medicine.  As such, all our patients are given information on how they can use diet to help heal themselves.  Some of the other treatment modalities commonly used by the clinic include:
    • Acupuncture
    • Breathing techniques
    • Chiropractic and Osteopathic treatments
    • Fish Oils
    • Herbs
    • Homeopathy
    • Massage
    • Mind-body therapies, including guided imagery and biofeedback
    • Probiotics
    • Vitamins and minerals

The Pediatric “Wholistic” Medicine Clinic is a medical clinic.  As such, we still use conventional medications when we think it is the best option to help someone heal.  We believe that “Integrative Medicine” is the best type of medicine.  We integrate the best of Western Medicine with “Alternative and Complementary Medicine” to bring forward the best of both worlds.  The combination of all these modalities gives us more tools to help you obtain optimal health and well-being.

Like many clinics, we believe in a multi-disciplinary approach and work with local acupuncturists, massage therapist, mind-body specialists, nutritionists, and chiropractors/osteopathic physicians to help you get the most comprehensive and best specialized care possible.
