Pejman Katiraei, DO
Medical Director
Wholistic Medicine

Dr. Katiraei completed his Bachelor’s of Science in biology at UCLA and then obtained a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Western University of Health Sciences.  He completed his pediatric residency at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and then spent an additional year as Chief Resident to assist in running the residency program and teaching pediatric residents.  He is now an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Loma Linda University School of Medicine.  Dr. Katiraei completed his fellowship in integrative medicine under the direction of Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona.  He is board certified in Pediatrics and “Integrative and Holistic Medicine”.  He is also trained in aspects of functional medicine and homeopathy.

 




Susan Lewis, RD, MPH
Wholistic Nutrition

Susan Lewis has been a registered dietitian through the American Dietetic Association (ADA) for 26 years.  She completed her Master’s in Public Health with emphasis in nutrition at Loma Linda University in 1984.  She has expertise in weight loss, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, kidney and liver diseases, food allergies/elimination diets, gastrointestinal problems, anti-inflammatory diets, and vegetarian meal planning.  She received a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management through the ADA and a Certificate as a LEAP (Lifestyle Eating and Performance) Therapist through Signet Diagnostic Corporation, which specializes in food sensitivities.




Michael Caruso, MD, MPH
Preventive and Wholistic Medicine
Medical Acupuncture

Dr. Caruso completed his medical degree and residency in Preventive Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine.  He also earned a Master's in Epidemiology from Loma Linda University's School of Public Health.  He is board certified in Preventive Medicine and is an Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine in the Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

Dr. Caruso has completed additional clinical training in acupuncture through the HMI “Medical Acupuncture for Physicians” program at UCLA, and training in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
