Babies do not come with instruction manuals. Bringing them home can be both exciting and frightening for new parents. Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital offers a variety of classes and groups to help ease your transition into parenthood. Our goal is to help make your life with baby a more rewarding experience.
Free of Charge Groups
Created to give moms a place to make new friends, get support and discuss the joys and challenges of motherhood, these groups are for new moms and their babies to attend together (healthy older siblings are welcome, also). Our Birth and Beyond Education Center has blankets, swings, booster seats, playmats and toys for baby and big brother or sister to enjoy while mom participates in the group discussion. Moms will also have access to our Lending Library, full of popular and highly recommended books and videos to check out. While free, please register so that we have contact information.
Moms Joining Moms
In this group, we talk about the stages all moms go through in their first year postpartum. Group discussion and sharing is encouraged! Each week, a popular parenting topic will be introduced, such as calming techniques, baby wearing, infant massage and infant sign language.
