The Mommy and Me outpatient clinic is a free service that is available to all of our moms who need support with feeding their new babies. Our RN Board Certified Lactation Consultants provide evidence-based education, support, and one-on-one instruction.

We offer lactation consultations, comprehensive follow-up visits and telephone advice for mothers with concerns about breastfeeding. Our RN Board Certified Lactation Consultants also communicate directly with the family’s doctors and other key healthcare personnel to assure continuity of care and advice. 

What to Expect

During a typical visit the Lactation Consultant will:
•    Obtain the baby’s weight
•    Check bilirubin levels (for jaundice)
•    Observe a feeding session
•    Answer questions 
•    Offer possible solutions for feeding problems
•    Suggest other resources
•    Work with mom to develop a plan 

Appointments

Mom's are seen by appointment only, appointments can be made by calling our message line (909) 558-MAMA (6262). Moms are encourage to include in their message any feeding concerns or questions. A consultant will return their call within 24 hours.
