At Loma Linda University Memory Disorders Clinic, our focus is on early detection of dementia and treatment through life-style change, close risk factor surveillance and treatment, as well as symptomatic pharmaceutical treatment. Our research is centered on the influence of lifestyle and risk factor modification, on incidence and prevalence, as well as response of diseases that affect the mind.

A. Dean Sherzai, MD, MAS, is director of the Memory Disorders Clinic at the department of Neurology at Loma Linda University Health Care. Dr. Sherzai has been trained in Neurodegenerative disorders, Dementia, and Geriatrics at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the University of California, San Diego.
