Outpatient Hand Center

The outpatient rehabilitation hand center has licensed therapists many of whom are certified hand therapists. Patients in the hand center benefit from specialized equipment focused on building hand strength, healing injuries, and increasing manual dexterity. Patients may have:

• Moist heat / cold packs
• Neuromuscular stimulation
• Paraffin therapy
• Ultrasound
• Fluidotherapy
• Sensory re-education
• Range of motion exercises
• Splinting

• Strengthening exercises
• Wound, scar, and edema management
• Cold laser therapy
• Desensitization

Referral source

A physician prescription maybe dropped off at our office or faxed. Our referral coordinators will request financial clearance from the insurance company for the patient to be seen.

Medi-Cal patients require a Treatment Authorization Request (TAR) that is sent to the Medi-Cal office for authorization. This process may take a few weeks. Once the authorization has been received from Medi-Cal, we will call you to set up an appointment.

Our office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. to accommodate patients and family members who need appointments before or after work, school, or during a lunch hour.
