Orthotics & prosthetics (O&P) is the field of study involving the design, fabrication, and fitting of orthoses (braces) and prostheses (artificial limbs) to help those with weakness, surgery, amputation, and physical disabilities.
The orthotics and prosthetics team of Loma Linda University Medical Center designs, fabricates, and fits prosthetic limbs, orthotic devices, cranial remolding helmets, and provides a post-mastectomy prosthetics program. our team also provides "bionic" technologies, such as C-Leg, Rheo knee, Proprio Foot, Myoelectric prostheses, and functional electrical stimulation (FES) myo-orthotic devices such as the WalkAid. Our goal is to provide cutting-edge O&P treatment for patients from all over the world, in a caring and compassionate manner.

Our patient care facility is is accredited with the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC) and is located in the Ambulatory Services Building north entrance, on the East Campus at Loma Linda University Medical Center. We have an onsite fabrication lab to better serve you.
