Orthotics & Prosthetics - Rehabilitation Services - Loma Linda University Medical Center

The Orthotic & Prosthetic Department provides a continuum of services for infants, children, youth, and adults. We design, engineer, fabricate, and fit custom devices for the disabled, the physically challenged, and for the challenged or rehabilitating athlete.

Our professional staff is ABC certified/registered and our facility is ABC accredited with a complete in-house fabrication facility.

Orthotic services

  • Scoliosis treatment
  • Cranial remolding helmets for the treatment of plagiocephaly, brachycephally, and scaphocephally
  • Knee orthoses
  • Foot orthoses
  • Full-spectrum orthoses for club foot deformity, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke, fractures, spinal cord injury, and others

Prosthetic services

  • Amputation clinic
  • "Energy Storing" feet (Flex-foot, Springlite, and Freedom)
  • Microprocessor controlled knees (Rheo, C-Leg, Adaptive knee)
  • Upper extremity prosthetics (Conventional, Myo-electric, Hybrid, and Cosmetic)
  • Gait training and strengthening
  • Post-mastectomy/lumpectomy

All services require a prescription from a licensed physician.
