What happens when you get 24 residents, 6 medical students, 8 faculty members, heads, drills, and microscopes together in one room? You have the first annual skull base course at Loma Linda University Medical Center!
This year, thanks to the dedication and coordination of Dr. John Kim from otolaryngology and Dr. Frank Hsu from neurosurgery, we were able to offer an exciting educational opportunity. We invited special guests, Dr. Lawrence Marentette from the University of Michigan and Dr. Johnny Delashaw from OHSU to participate. We also invited residents from both the otolaryngology and neurosurgery departments from each program on the West Coast. We offered to pay for hotel accommodations and a large portion of their airfare. We were delighted to have six outside residents accept, and they were a great addition to the weekend.
