Dr. Chonkich served as residency program director and was involved in the residents' training issues on a day-to-day basis. He was responsible for the head and neck portion of the teaching that residents received. He has also served as the medical staff president for Loma Linda University Medical Center. He has had numerous abstracts, scientific papers, presentations, and book chapters published in peer review journals and textbooks. Dr. Chonkich serves as an editorial reviewer for peer review journals.
