We are committed to compassionate, whole-person care for patients and their families, LLUIHI is a state-of-the-art tertiary care facility with highly trained specialists and advanced technology. Through our multidisciplinary approach, patients with unusual and complex medical conditions have direct access to Loma Linda University Medical Center’s (LLUMC) services, facilities and experienced team of physicians, nurses and professionals. LLUMC is one of only two designated facilities in the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties providing immediate, life-saving responses to heart attack victims, and is the only hospital in the region performing heart transplants. LLUMC has specialty units designed and staffed for heart patients including Coronary Care Unit, Cardiac Surgery, ICU, Cardiac Step-Down and Observation Areas.
Access to Heart Services
Patients can be referred by their primary care physician or by other cardiologists for consultation regarding specialized heart care situations. Most insurance plans require that you have a primary care physician that coordinates all your care and makes referrals to specialists for heart conditions they cannot treat.
