Loma Linda University Behavioral Health Institute Outpatient Pavilion
To meet the growing needs of our community, Loma Linda University (LLU) and Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center (LLUBMC) are working together to provide a continuum of behavioral health services in one location. A dream of ours, which has been 15 years in the making, is now taking place in the building of the Loma Linda University Behavioral Health Institute Outpatient Pavilion.
This 46,000 square foot facility is scheduled to open in Fall 2009 and will bring a comprehensive array of mental health services to one easily accessible location. It will house some of LLUBMC’s outpatient programs for adults, adolescents and children, as well as LLU services such as the clinics provided by the Departments of Counseling and Family Sciences, Psychiatry, Psychology and Social Work. Collaboratively, each of these services will provide exemplary treatment for those that come for care as well as support scholarly contributions to the professional field of behavioral health, in order to improve diagnosis and treatment and focus on prevention.
This Institute is a symbol of our commitment to the clinical, academic, and research field of behavioral health. This expansion will broaden our ability to teach mental health curricula through the related disciplines and will provide exemplary clinical experiences and groundbreaking research.
