Advanced Hematology/Oncology Core Curriculum

This one-day class was designed for the experienced nurse who deals with the pediatric and adult oncology patients in the hospital setting. Various important oncology and hematology emergencies will be discussed throughout the day. Course content will include the metabolic, physiologic, and structural concepts of oncology emergencies. In addition, professional, ethical, and legal aspects will be addressed. If you would like to improve your patient assessment and care of the oncology patient, this class is for you

Prerequisites/special instructions: Completion of pediatric hematology/oncology core curriculum at LLUMC or six months working with oncology patients.

Cancellation, No Show, Refund Policy:
No refund if Staff Development does not receive cancellation notification at least five (5) working days prior to class. No refund will be provided if participant does not show up for class. In the event the program is cancelled, a full refund will be given. Refundable reservation deposits will be returned upon class attendance.
