Intermediate Pediatric Stem Cell Transplantation

This two-day course was designed for the experienced nurse who deals with pediatric stem cell patients in the hospital setting. Various important principles of pediatric stem cell transplantation will be discussed throughout the two days. Course content will include historical information on cell transplantation, HLA typing, donor selection, infusion techniques, system assessment, complications and management, and review of various pediatric stem cell studies.

Target audience:
Any nurse or health-care professional that works with peripheral stem cell transplantation patients.

Prerequisites/special instructions: Participant must have attended the Basic Pediatric Stem Cell Course.

Cancellation, No Show, Refund Policy:
No refund if Staff Development does not receive cancellation notification at least five (5) working days prior to class. No refund will be provided if participant does not show up for class. In the event the program is cancelled, a full refund will be given. Refundable reservation deposits will be returned upon class attendance.
