This revised five-day pediatric nursing class series will focus on the nursing systems assessment and care of the infant, child, and adolescent. It will also address the unique responses of children and their families to illness and hospitalization. The format follows the pediatric systems assessment. In addition, selected pediatric nursing skills will be covered including blood administration, safe handling of chemotherapeutic agents for nonmalignant disease, fluids and electrolytes, gastrointestinal feeding and swallowing, and nutritional assessment.
Target audience: Pediatric nurses and other health professionals interested in the pediatric field.

Cancellation, No Show, Refund Policy:
No refund if Staff Development does not receive cancellation notification at least five (5) working days prior to class. No refund will be provided if participant does not show up for class.
