Pediatric Hematopoietic Blood Stem Cell Transplantation
This two-day course is designed to introduce and prepare the pediatric professional nurse to the specialty of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The lecture topics include a review of the hematopoietic and immune system, chemotherapy regimens, the phases of stem cell transplantation, and pediatric nursing management during each phase--evaluation, mobilization, apheresis, dose intensive, re-infusion, and engraftment/recovery.
Target audience: Pediatric nurses interested in entering the specialty of peripheral stem cell transplantation
