Perianesthesia Nursing Core
This one-day course will focus on the nursing assessment and care of the surgical patient in the perianesthesia period. Issues addressed include principles of perianesthesia nursing, assessment of the anesthetized patient, management of the difficult airway, management of the obstetric patient, procedure-related sedation, principles of pain management, and guidelines for the nursing care of patients emerging from general anesthesia.
Target audience:
Newly registered nurses, any nurse who practices in designated perianesthesia settings, and those practicing anywhere surgical procedures are performed and care is provided for sedated and/or anesthetized patients.

Cancellation, No Show, Refund Policy:
No refund if Staff Development does not receive cancellation notification at least five (5) working days prior to class. No refund will be provided if participant does not show up for class. In the event the program is cancelled, a full refund will be given. Refundable reservation deposits will be returned upon class attendance.
