Practical Concepts for Effective Unit/Department Management

This two-day program will address the unique roles and responsibilities of the charge nurse, supervisor, and shift coordinator. Practical strategies for effective unit management will be presented and will include such topics as managed care, introduction to continual quality improvement, quality management and regulatory agencies, and customer service.

Target audience: LLUMC professional staff who are currently practicing as charge nurses and/or shift coordinators, as well as supervisors in all departments.

LLUMC employees - no charge if required by unit/department and registered by department manager

Cancellation, No Show, Refund Policy:
No refund if Staff Development does not receive cancellation notification at least five (5) working days prior to class. No refund will be provided if participant does not show up for class. In the event the program is cancelled, a full refund will be given. Refundable reservation deposits will be returned upon class attendance.
