Preceptor Skills Workshop

This newly redesigned one-day workshop is created for the health-care provider who assists in the orientation and assimilation of staff and students to the work environment. The content will provide participants with a general understanding of the preceptor's role and the preceptoring process. This interactive program, based on a model curriculum designed by the Chancellor's Office of the California Community Colleges, includes elements of the preceptor as a role model, educator, facilitator, and evaluator.

Prerequisites/special instructions: First priority will be given to staff sent by their department manager.

Cancellation, No Show, Refund Policy:
No refund if Staff Development does not receive cancellation notification at least five (5) working days prior to class. No refund will be provided if participant does not show up for class. In the event the program is cancelled, a full refund will be given. Refundable reservation deposits will be returned upon class attendance.
