Department Announces New Rotation

We are pleased to announce that we have added a new rotation to our program.  Based at the East Campus Hospital, the new rotation is called,"Perioperative Anesthesia", and will encompass the breadth of anesthesia, from preop through the OR and to the ICU if needed.  See more information about his rotation.

Dr. Applegate Assumes Director of Research Position

Dr. Richard Applegate II, MD has taken the reins of the research department.  He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with research, and we are excited about the changes he has already made.  Already over 75% of the faculty and virtually every resident has at least one current project ongoing.  See more information about this department.  Dr. Martin Allard remains as Director of Sponsored Research.

Anesthesiologist Wins National Election

Dr. Linda Mason, who directs our pediatric anesthesia rotation and fellowship, recently won election as Assistant Secretary of the American Society of Anesthesiology.  She was also elected to the Administrative Council, the first time in a decade an Anesthesiologist from California has held a seat there.
