Statistics About Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Some people use statistical reports to try to figure out their chance of getting cancer. Or they use them to try to figure out their chance of being cured. Statistics show what happens with large groups of people. Because no2 people are alike, statistics can't be used to know or predict what will happen to you.

These are somestatistics for 2013 from the American Cancer Society about soft tissue sarcoma:

  • About 11,410 people in the U.S. will develop soft tissue sarcomas this year. Of these, approximately 6,290 will be males and 5,120 will be females.

  • About 4,390 people will die of soft tissue sarcomas this year (about 2,500 males and 1,890 females).
