What Are the Symptoms of Anal Cancer?
Sometimes anal cancer does not cause any symptoms at all. Bleeding from the rectum is the most common symptom of anal cancer. These are other symptoms:
Pain or pressure in the anal area
Itching around the anus
Discharge from the anus
Swollen lymph nodes in the anal or groin area
Narrower stools
An increase or decrease in bowel movements
Straining during a bowel movement
Although these are symptoms of anal cancer, they may also be caused by other, less serious medical problems. If you have any of these symptoms talk with your doctor.
