About Neurological Cancer
Neurological cancer or brain cancer affected about 22,000 people in the United States in 2010. Cancer of the brain accounts for approximately 1.4 percent of all cancers and 2.3 percent of all cancer related dealths. The majority of brain tumors have abnormatilies of genes involoved in a cell cycle causing uncontrolled cell growth.
We believe in individualized treatment planning based on your specific needs and types of cancer. Treatment for neurological cancer depends on the size of the tumor, location and results of some tests. In some cases proton treatment therapy may be right for you. Your healthcare team will work with you to determine the right treatment plan for you.

Support and Resources
At Loma Linda University Cancer Center, we believe true recovery requires the healing of the whole person—body, mind and spirit. We work to ensure our patients receive the care they need to continue this healing even after they've finished the treatment. Our Survivorship Series program helps patients who have completed the course of therapy but need assistance to live with the effects of surviving cancer. Visit our cancer resource center for a list of all support services offered.
