Loma Linda University Cancer Center's Cancer Resource Center is designed to bring cancer-related information to a single location for your convenience. The Center has a variety of resources available to help you better understand cancer prevention, early detection, the latest treatment options, research and more. 

The Center provides: 

* Cancer-related brochures and books: 

  • State and National Cancer Resource Listings 
  • American Cancer Society information

* Support services:   

  • Rehabilitation services: 
    • Orthotics and Prosthetics 
    • Lymphedema and pain clinics 
  • Look Good, Feel Better
  • Reach to recovery 
  • Candlelighters
  • LLUCC Support Groups

* Audio/video library: There are a variety of video and audio-tapes that deal with specific types of cancer, cancer prevention, laughter therapy and more. 

* Internet access: Obtain on-line information about the latest advances in cancer prevention, research, detection and treatment. The American Cancer Society database of cancer information is also available. 

* Referral and Information Service: This service provides assistance for those seeking cancer care services within the Loma Linda University Health Care System.

Cancer's 7 warning signs

1. Change in bowel or bladder habits 
2. A sore that will not heal 
3. Unusual bleeding or discharge 
4. Thickening or lump in breast or elsewhere 
5. Indigestion or difficulty swallowing 
6. Obvious change in wart or mole 
7. Nagging cough or hoarseness
