OVERALL RESIDENCY PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL GOALS
Our goal is to provide our residents with broad-based and balanced training in cardiothoracic surgery. We are committed to our residents’ whole person development as a respected professional with good judgment and sound surgical skills. The training environment will be a culture of caring based on the values of compassion, integrity, excellence, teamwork, and wholeness.
The Thoracic Surgery Residency Program Curriculum will be divided into the following rotations:

*During this rotation residents will spend 2 days/week at the Loma Linda VA
** Residents may choose to do a 1 – 3 month elective rotation in any one (or combination) of the following: General Thoracic Surgery, Congenital Cardiac Surgery, Endovascular Surgery, Cardiac Cath or Adult Cardiac Surgery.
