Clinics and programs

Classes and programs provided by the DTC are recognized by the American Diabetes Association.

"Learn to Have Your Cake and Eat it Too" - Our education programs have been awarded recognition by the American Diabetes Association in accordance with the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs. The following classes and programs are designed to improve diabetes management and awareness.

Winning With Diabetes * - A comprehensive self-management education class for those newly diagnosed or who have not had previous diabetes education

Meal planning * - Individual sessions with a registered dietitian to learn how to properly balance food groups (including sweets!). Carbohydrate counting sessions are available.

Cardiovascular-diabetes clinic - Complex management for persons with heart disease and diabetes

Glycemic clinic * - Specialized insulin management, including insulin pump therapy

Sensor clinic * - Advanced diagnostic glucose testing and monitoring

S.T.O.P. Diabetes - A concentrated research program to prevent type-2 diabetes

Sweet Success * - An innovative treatment program for pregnant women with diabetes. The DTC is a state-affiliated site for California's Diabetes and Pregnancy Program.

Support Group * - Ongoing education and support for persons with diabetes and their families, presented by diabetes experts
