Welcome to the Loma Linda University Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Since 1984 our program has offered emergency medicine residency training that is both cutting edge and resident focused.
We are located in the heart of southern California and accept thirteen outstanding residents per year. In our three year program residents divide their time between Loma Linda University Medical Center & Children's Hospital and Riverside County Regional Medical Center. The diverse patient populations and hospital systems provide the optimal training mix for learning emergency medicine. The combined patient census of the two facilities is over 150,000 patients per year. In addition to the core emergency medicine curriculum, our residency boasts unparalleled opportunities to practice emergency medicine in exciting and developing fields. We boast the most active international emergency medicine program in the nation for residents. Numerous residents participate in one of the many international expeditions each year. Residents have the opportunity to participate actively in search and rescue teams, EMS administration, wilderness medicine, event medicine, observation medicine, critical care, and health policy advocacy. With the support of outstanding and approachable faculty, our residents finish training with the tools necessary to thrive in either academic or community practice.
We accept applications only through ERAS. Offers to interview are sent after review of a candidates complete application, usually sometime in early November. Interviews for the upcoming match will be held on select Tuesdays in November, December, and January.
