Faculty - Katherine Schlaerth, MD

Dr. Katherine Schlaerth joined our department in 2003. She graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine in 1968. She completed a Pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles in 1970 and a fellowship in adult and pediatric infectious disease at USC Medical Center in 1973.

Dr. Schlaerth has a special interest in geriatrics and pediatrics. She speaks fluent Spanish.

She is married, has 7 children and 8 grandchildren. Her hobbies are jogging and writing.
