Cardiac synchrony is critical toward achieving maximum cardiac performance among patients with congestive heart failure, abnormal diastolic filling (diastolic dysfunction) or cardiomyopathy. An effective form of therapy, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) re-coordinates the action of the right and left ventricles along with different parts of the left ventricle. In addition to reducing symptoms, CRT is designed to improve cardiac function by restoring the mechanical sequence of ventricular activation and contraction.

With the most state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, the Echocardiology Guided Cardiac Resynchronization Clinic uses non-invasive imaging tools to obtain quantitative measurements of the heart before and after CRT for appropriate patient selection, and to guide the location of the lead and optimizing device performance after implantation. Our specially trained physicians and cardiac sonographers are experts in the field, publishing and presenting extensively as well as performing cardiac dyssynchrony assessments daily.
