CARDIAC REHABILITATION
The cardiac rehabilitation program is designed to augment private physician's care through carefully monitored, medically supervised, progressive exercise and education classes.

INPATIENT CARDIAC SERVICES
Loma Linda University Medical Center & Children's Hospital have specialty units designed and staffed for the care of heart patients including coronary care unit, cardiac surgery ICU, cardiac step-down and observation areas, neonatal heart care, and the children's cardiac care unit.

Emergency cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology services are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Loma Linda University International Heart Institute physicians provide consultation and specialty cardiac (heart) care for patients referred by their primary care physician, internist, or cardiologist. Referring physicians are invited to call attending faculty to discuss individual cases at any time. Urgent outpatient cases can usually be seen by the Loma Linda International Heart Institute cardiologist on-call for consultations within 24-hours. Routine and second-opinion outpatient consultations can normally be scheduled within two weeks. Emergency outpatients can be seen anytime at the Emergency Cardiac (heart) Care Center. Satellite clinics facilitate the delivery of patient care in growing communities.

The physicians of Loma Linda International Heart Institute are specialists in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. They do not provide primary care but instead work closely with your primary care physician for cardiac (heart) diagnosis and treatment.
