Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery
A craniofacial anomaly is an abnormality of the head and/or facial bones that is present at birth. These anomalies range from mild to very serious. A congenital abnormality can significantly impact a child’s social, psychological and emotional well-being if left untreated.
The Department of Neurology’s pediatric neurosurgeons offer specialized treatment of complex deformities of the skull, face and jaw in children. In order to provide each patient with complete care, our neurosurgeons work with specialists in other departments to create treatment plans that address the physical and emotional needs of each child and their family.
Through cutting-edge treatments, Loma Linda provides seamless patient care that results in less physical trauma and allows our young patients to get back to their normal childhood activities.
Our expert team of neurosurgeons offers consultation to thoroughly review patients’ medical histories and diagnostic data in order to carefully select patients for potential surgery.
