Sports Medicine
There are a wide range of sport injuries that can stop athletes in their tracks. Loma Linda University’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery’s sports medicine service provides comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation to injured recreational, amateur and professional athletes in all sports and at all ages.
Our sports medicine treatment approach utilizes the expertise of a multidisciplinary team comprised of orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, nutritionists and exercise physiologists. Not only do they treat athletic injuries of the musculoskeletal system, but also work to prevent them. Taking into consideration the athlete’s performance needs, our doctors closely oversee patients through consultation, surgery and rehabilitation. Our approach extends far beyond surgical procedures to include non-surgical options, diet and form.
