The Loma Linda University School of Medicine Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) actively supports the research interests of its faculty and fellows. With more than 25,000 visits per year to the pediatric emergency division, our patient population is a rich source of the diverse challenges facing PEM physicians today. The Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children's Hospital Institutional Review Board works closely with physician investigators to encourage effective study designs that demonstrate the highest standards for ethics in human subject research. The Department of Emergency Medicine provides research staff dedicated to supporting the academic endeavors of its physicians.
