Classes are designed to provide a background of Hepatitis C while guiding you and your family through the prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment process.
LLUMC offers Medical Family Therapy (MedFT), a specialty psychotherapy service designed to assist you and your family with adjusting to living with an illness. Medical issues impact everyone. These changes may mean family members have to take on new responsibilities at home or a change in financial status or routine.
Because a medical issue impacts everyone, our medical family therapists understand that you may feel overwhelmed during this time. Within a safe and supportive environment, we’re here to support you by sorting through your thoughts, steps you need to take to feel in control of your changing circumstances and assistance with strengthening family ties. You may wish to see a therapist by yourself, with your partner or children.
