Loma Linda University Medical Center's 2008 Speaking of Women's Health keynote speakers will be the nationally acclaimed women's health experts Dr. Pamela Peeke and Dr. Suzanne Metzger. We are also very fortunate to have Heather Froglear from K-FROG radio as our conference emcee.

Morning Keynote Speaker-Dr. Pamela Peeke

Dr. Peeke is an internationally reowned expert and speaker in women's health, fitness and nutrition. Dr. Peeke has been recognized by the National Institutes of Health as one of the leading women physicians in America and has been named one of America's top physicians by the Consumer's Research Council of America. Dr. Peeke is Chief Medical Correspondent for Discovery Health TV, and host of the award winning National Body Challenge series, as well as her newly launched Fit to Live reality show. Branded as the "doc who walks the talk", Dr. Peeke uses her trademark wit and wisdom as an "edutainer", guiding women through life's challenges. She is a member of Oprah's O team of medical experts. Fitness magazine columnist, in-studio expert for the Today Show and CNN, and she is the New York Times bestselling author of Fight Fat after Forty, for Life for Women and Fit to Live.

Afternoon Keynote Speaker-Dr. Suzanne Metzger

For the past 20 years, Dr. Suzanne Metzger has been captivating audiences with her keynotes and training sessions. Specializing in communication, Suzanne's goal is to help people understand the incredible power of soft skills through each customized presentation. Her conviction and passion for the power of soft skills extend far past the microphone and stage. She has combined this earnest belief system to the study of "new" leadership while working on her Doctorate in Business Adminstration. The resulting seminars and message in 'personal leadership" have been responsible, in large part, to her receiving numerous awards as a speaker and entrepreneur. Author of Learning Through Living...Some Assembly Required and co-author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Living with Breast Cancer, Suzanne leads workshops and writes columns on self-motivation hoping to help others get themselves on the right track. Many of her attendees will agree that "she will definitely change the way you look at communication, leadership and life."

Conference Emcee- Heather Froglear

Heather has been with the K-Frog radio station for 15 years. She not only does afternoons every weekday from 1pm-3pm, but is also the Director of Promotions and Assistant Music Director for The K-Frog Radio Network, KFRG 95.1, KXFG 92.9 (Temecula Valley) and KVFG 103.1 (High Desert).

After being around music her whole life Heather decided to enter the world of radio. She came to K-FROG in 1993, fresh from graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Cal-State San Bernardino. She is a huge animal lover you'll frequently find her participating as an emcee or Grand Marshall for many local Humane Society Fundraisers. She has been an integral part of the creation and execution of the K-FROG Cares Annual Radiothon, which benefits the Loma Linda Children's Hospital and has raised over $2.5 million dollars to date. "It was because of the relationship I had formed with Loma Linda Children's Hospital over the last decade, and the confidence I had in their care, that my husband and I took a serious risk in June of 2007, and adopted a little girl, who was born with several Congenital Heart Defects and would possibly need a heart transplant." Peyton, as the baby was named, thankfully, did not require a donor heart, but was surgically repaired at 14 days old by the legendary, Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon, Dr. Leonard Bailey at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. Today, Peyton is happy, healthy and the love of Heather's life.

Heather also lends her support to the local chapters of the American Heart Association, the Arthritis Foundation and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
