Home health care

There's no place like the comfort and convenience of home for recuperation from illness, accident, surgery, or disability. As an alternative to extended hospitalization or nursing home care, Loma Linda University's Home Health Care provides specialized medical care in the home under the direction of the patient's physician. The program also incorporates the patient's family in a comprehensive program of care delivery.

Home health careOur team of qualified professionals and support staff works closely with the physician to coordinate and carry out a plan of care designed to make the most of each person's potential for recovery. We promote patient independence and participation in the planning of their care. Care is provided on an intermittent basis. On-call staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Referrals are accepted from any source, contingent upon available staffing. We bill Medicare, Medi-Cal, contracted health maintenance organizations (HMOs), and most insurance companies for payment of our services.

Loma Linda Home Health Care is licensed by the State of California and certified by the federal government as a full-service home health agency. It is also accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
