Advisory councils

Inland Empire Perinatal Advisory Council (IEPAC) and East Desert Perinatal Advisory Council (EDPAC)

History and purpose

IEPAC and EDPAC are nonprofit organizations developed as part of the Inland Counties Regional Perinatal Program, a Regional Perinatal Program of California (RPPC), based at Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital. These councils support an integrated perinatal health system for the purpose of coordinating services responsive to the needs of the perinatal population in Region 7 (Inyo, Mono, San Bernardino and Riverside counties).

IEPAC and EDPAC promotes optimal perinatal care for patients and families in the Region by promoting communication and coordination among agencies, organizations and providers of perinatal health services and to the extent possible, to identify and address unmet perinatal needs. These councils are open to all health professionals who share this goal.

IEPAC and EDPAC are not organized for private gain by any agencies or individuals. Through communication, needs assessment, referral, data collect, educational programming, implementation of problem solving strategies, evaluation of transported patients, and the distribution of guidelines for care, the council pursues the aforementioned purpose.

The Inland Empire Quality Care Consortium (IEPQCC) is a permanent subcommittee of IEPAC and EDPAC. IEPQCC usually meets on the third Tuesday of each month to share and work on perinatal quality care issues. The meeting usually immediately follows the Inland Empire Breastfeeding Coalition Meeting, so that interested parties may more easily attend both meetings during the same morning.

If you are interested in becoming a member of IEPAC/EDPAC and/or the IEPQCC subcommittee, you may obtain a membership application form online or contact:
