The department of security issues parking permits to faculty, staff, and students of Loma Linda University. Permits are issued during normal business hours at the department of security office located at 24690 University Avenue. A copy of the University traffic and parking regulations is given with each permit at the time of issuance. Additional copies may be picked up at the department of security and the student affairs office. The first time any vehicle is registered with the department of security, the person needs to bring a copy of their vehicle registration. Permits are required to be displayed according to the University's traffic and parking regulations while the vehicle is on the University campus.
All faculty, staff and student vehicles parked on the grounds of Loma Linda University must display a valid parking permit. It is the sole responsibility of the person registering a vehicle with the Loma Linda University Medical Center department of security to properly display a permit. A permit MUST be hung from the rear view mirror, facing forward.
One permit will be issued per faculty, staff or student. Additional hanging permits may be purchased from Loma Linda University Medical Center department of security for $15.00 each. Replacement permits are $15.00.
Residence hall students must obtain a quarterly updated validation sticker from their residence hall Dean at the start of each quarter and affix the updated permit on the Loma Linda University permit.
Vehicles owned or operated by faculty, staff, and students are not visitor cars. If you loan your car to anyone, be sure to explain where that car may be parked. You are responsible for any infraction issued to the vehicle.
Permits issued for on campus parking are not valid for parking on city streets. The City of Loma Linda patrols the city streets.
University identification cards are issued to faculty, staff, and students. Faculty and staff members are issued identification badges through the human resources department located in room 203 in the University Arts building, 24887 Taylor Street. Student identification cards are issued at the Student Services building located at 11139 Anderson Street.
Faculty, staff, and students are required to carry their identification cards with them at all times while on the campus. Identification cards must be presented to department of security personnel upon request for verification of status.
