Since 1963 when the first liver transplant was performed, liver transplantation has become an acceptable form of therapy for the adult and pediatric patient with end-stage liver disease. The liver transplant program at Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) and Children's Hospital (LLUCH) is a fully integrated program capable of providing comprehensive care to the adult and pediatric patient with liver disease. The goal of the liver transplant program at LLUMC & LLUCH is to restore those with end-stage liver disease to an optimal level of health and to allow them to lead a productive life. The liver transplant team is proud to be able to provide this service to the adult and pediatric population.
